Bill was third in strikeouts in the National League in 1971, behind Tom Seaver and Ferguson Jenkins.

-I remember him playing SS and 2b.......watching him throw was amazing.....it was just like from the elbow down......in a blur , with little or no effort.
- Remember him well playing 2nd base Had lots of laughs form him will umpire while he played have had a 2 pints A very nice man ?.lived in same house as one of the LEAFS hockey players lived in after
-One night while playing on the same team "C&S Plumbing" as Mr. Bill Stoneman. I seen him make a Catch at the fence in Centre Field and then throw a Perfect Strike to Home Plate to nail the guy trying to score from 3rd.
