-There are a few previous members of the Georgetown Girls Pipe Band who get together for a meal about once a year and I always think about Joy when our Pipe Band lunches come around. It was Dave who came up with the name "Tartan Tarts" when we were trying to come up with a name for our group.
- Mrs. Smallwood was a great role model and fantastic teacher. RIP Mrs. Smallwood.
- Being a Glen girl I played baseball with her - she always was smiling and happy go lucky 🙂 beautiful soul inside and out 🙂
- What a lovely couple
- Where to start...Auntie Joy made everyone feel special. And everyone around her better. To others, she was their favourite Teacher, Principal, best friend, cousin, and a great Mom. But Auntie Joy was more like a Sister to us, very caring and beautiful , inside and out. Auntie Joy was the most loving and passionate person I have ever known. She really cared. The day we all found out about her illness was devastating, her loss still leaves a big hole that is impossible to fill. We were very lucky to have Dave join the family. At dances they would glide across the dance floor and at family events, they were always greeted with excitement by everyone.
Too many thoughts and memories for one post.
RIP Auntie Joy ❤️

-Dave Smallwood and his family were our neighbours on Langstone Cres for many years. Best neighbours you could ask for, lots of fun to reminisce about our friendly water fights in the driveway, rides on Dave and Gord’s motorcycles and knowing they were there for anything you may need.
