-He Liked Giving The Strap a Little Too Much.....

-He was my grade 8 teacher and principal. I remember him throwing a piece of chalk that whizzed by by ear when i was turned around talking to the person behind me
-I still remember he was principal school and he was so sweet to me before I left for Belleville....

- I was only a little girl but I remember him well, as a principal he was always present around the school.
- My grade 8 teacher too. He read The Secret Garden to us on Friday afternoons. I liked him.
- I remember him he scared me always looked grumpy and mean when I was a kid
- Mr. Stein was my gr. 8 teacher & helped me though a rough time after my dad died. Could be tough but was kind to me.
- Never got the strap! Must have been a good girl. Lol

-He always had everyone's best interest at heart. Even when he called the house saying this is Val from the High School.....lol
-I thought he was too strict when I was in his class but looking back, he was , I think, one of the best teachers I had. He knew how to get the best out of you and celebrated your successes with you as well as supporting you in your failures. We need more like him today.
-He was a great man & great teacher he sure could give the strap lol
- He was a great teacher and person. Sure had a good arm when he was throwing a piece of chalk and very seldom missed his mark.

-My brother had the strap from him a couple of times and Craig said when he went to swing the strap he jumped in the air!
- omg that is so true I used to get the strap at least once a week lol one time I pulled my hand away and he hit his leg he was pissed and gave it to me good but I never cried Iol and that made him madder lol

- I knew there was a reason I admired you so much. Its unacceptable today but I too got the strap a lot back in public school. Even at 9yrs old I would try not to cry but even by 13yrs of age that strap really started to sting by the 4th and 5th strikes. Tears just spontaneously dropped..

- He caught me chewing gum in class and made me stand in the waste basket at the front of the class with the gum on my nose —I was nine and embarrassed but didn’t chew gum in school ever again

-My bother stole his strap one time - never resolved it our mother use it on us....ugh
- I remember hearing him give the strap in his office when I was in Grade 8. I always liked him.
- Oh I remember him very well...he was a strict teacher. I had him in grade 8 he used to poke a very sharp pencil in the top of my head, and I got the strap and was put out in the hall. I really wasn’t a bad kid..... lol
-He gave me the ruler across the knuckles once in grade 4 because I wouldn't take my Barbie off my desk LOL
- I mean, she had bendable legs; it was awesome.
- He was principal when I went Chapel Street too. I heard he liked to give the strap alot, so I was well behaved until Mr Price took over.

- Great Memory, he sang in the Choir at our Church.

- I would recognize him anywhere. A dog catcher's truck was parked beside the school. My friend Bruno Podlinsek and I let a dog out. Bruno got the strap but I didn't, so Mr Stein wasn't half bad. lol

- yes do you remember him. He was super great at tract & field. Think his family moved to Michigan.
- oh yea I remember Bruno I used to hang around the restaurant when I was little my brother hung around Bruno , his parents were really nice ,I fell thru the glass door at the restaurant carrying my pop bottles lol cut my hand open , Do you know where Bruno is now ? Thanks for the memories Linda

-I really liked him! He was my principal at Chapel St. school too. He had a beautiful house and vegetable garden he loved to show off.
- Mr. Stein was a great teacher and principal. He drilled me on spelling...he said once in high school no one would work on my spelling with me and he was so right. Great respect for the man.
