- Peter, an upright Englishman, who might be Scottish, Irish or Welsh. A great wit, sometimes dry, his comments sometimes wry. Definitely the salt of the earth. His sermons very poignant and pertinent. His sincerity at funerals very touching, finding and presenting the best of saints and sinners. A positive fixture who has given support in many ways to those of Georgetown. He has earned his place at the big table for all of the right reasons. It has always been an honour to shake his hand.

He also conducts the benediction at every new officers’ swearing-in ceremony Region-wide. He has an issued bullet-proof vest but I don’t think he needs one with Divine Intervention on his side! Wonderful gentleman!

He did the funeral service jointly with Reverend Steve Boose for my cousin because he had known and worked with her for so long. I'll always remember the story he told about how when he first met her and started working with her she warned him to be careful what he said about people as she had lived all her life in Georgetown and knew just about everyone.

I wanted to say that I consider this man one of the finest. I feel as though his contributions to the town an its residents should not go un noticed or un appreciated. Hi Trish,
You probably don't remember me, but I worked at the salon doing nails as a teen. I thought so much of your dad and I remember how close all you girls were to him. I just wanted to send my deepest sympathy to you, Jane and Maggie. Your dad was a great man, and always so loving and kind. May you be blessed knowing how many lives he touched ❤️
