-Christine and I were talking to her in Burlington I think. She and the pipe band were there to pipe. We stood and talked for a short time at a restaurant. Gentle Kind lady.

- Sniff sniff!!! A lifelong friend. Gone way too soon! Miss you my friend!! RIP
- Ah, my good friend. Such a loss. So smart. So caring. Spiritual.
Actually, she married Allan Jenkins a few years before she died. She & Allan put together the Scotland trip for the pipe band in 2006. So thankful we had that trip as Val passed away the next year.
-We will all meet again and write another Cootie song.
- Val was a gentle soul, soft spoken, mannerful. I knew her through business and in her Church life. A sweet, caring individual who took responsibility. A great loss wrenches at the heart. Never forgotten, always remembered for her youthful sparkling eyes. A quiet beauty within and without.
-See you on the other side Val!
- Very nice young lady. When I had surgery at the hospital she worked at she would come down & visit me on her breaks. Went to School with her. Gone far too soon. Rest In Peace Val.
- Val played her pipes in the rain for Mom and Dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. She was their neighbour for many years too not to mention all the fun times in the pipe band so long ago!
- They lived across the road from us growing up on Shelley Street. I remember as boys, we were in awe of her husband Bill, who was a policeman AND a fireman!
- I used to walk the beat with bill back in the 60's when my dad had his shop downtown
- Remember Val from the Pipe Band. Lovely lady.
- Val was my friend in school. Miss her..
- Also my friend in school, gone way too young,
-Val baby sat for my brother's and I. She played her pipes at my father's funeral. Valerie and her parents, Ron and Janet, were amazing people and great friends of my parents. 😊
