- He was a very caring, loving man. He was a true Georgtowner. He was very good friends with my brother, Dan Crawford. He was involved with the Rovers. An amazing person all around. ❤️
- I worked with Wayne a long time ago....last time I seen Wayne I was in Nova Scotia and I heard someone from inside a restaurant knocking on the window and there he was....had a good talk and a few beers later that day.......
- Wayne married Ruth Anne Marchand,
Was a true Georgetown guy moved to Alberta in the mid seventies,
He had diabetes which caused him his site, he had a great sense of humour which was remarkable for everything he had to endure, I believe he was also good Friend of Bob Reid
- Makes me so sad seeing his picture and knowing he's gone. I just loved him when we were in High School and Bob and I chummed with him and Ruth Ann. He had the best sense of humour and a great guy. We were so excited to see him when this picture was taken. He got excited to be with Bob. 💕
- Played rugby with Wayne... he loved to play and party after the games...he lost his leg , kidney, sight , and hearing due to diabetes. He was always upbeat and did some speaking for CNIB . His wife Ruth Anne was the angel that helped him through life and was the reason he stayed so positive. Loads of memories of the good times. RIP Wayne!
- I never saw a guy who could down a pint of beer faster than Wayne!
- You are absolutly right Bill took longer to pick it up and set it down, I thought I was quick but could never touch him, a real good guy, real enjoyed life and a pleasure to be around, a great Georgetown Rebel :)
- We have lots of great memories of Wayne & Ruthann at high school, rugger games & after. Wayne had amazing outlook & was a motivational speaker helping others. The last time we saw them was a couple of years ago here in Sauble -they were on the way down east . Ruthann was driving a motor home -she was his rock!
- Ruthann is a sweetheart of a gal, always liked her :)
- I love Ruthann...we were buddies in high school and Wayne was a hoot..RIP Wayne..fondly remembered..
- Had a good catch up with him at the last reunion. Was a good man . Had a rough go of it but made the best of everyday. ❤️
- Enjoyed playing Rugby - especially the Beer Ups after the games with Wayne. Enjoyed catching up with him at the above reunion. A good guy and inspiration for many.
- Wayne was my sister-in-law's brother. Such a funny guy. He had uncontrolled diabetes resulting in many health issues like leg amputation & kidney transplant. He eventually lost his sight & hearing but learned to embrace these issues. He was spokesperson for an organization in Alberta for people with hearing/ sight loss & travelled a lot in that capacity. Always with a sense of humour. His wife, Ruth Ann, was his rock.
