St. Alban's - Glen Williams
St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church
The St. Alban church was built in 1903 after Rose Ann McMaster left the property to Rev. Thomas Wallace to build an Anglican church. Limestone from Logan’s quarry north of the village was used in the construction.
The staff report notes that the church’s “hand cut stone construction, and stain glass window features, display a high degree of craftsmanship and artistic merit.” It also says prominent local residents John Sykes, Samuel and Joseph Beaumont and Harry Holdroyd were actively involved in the establishment and construction of St. Alban.
