snowbird's flyover - august 31st 2017
Thank you to all the residents of Halton Hills who gathered to watch the Salute to Halton Hills – Canada’s Most Patriotic Town August 31st, 2017. 6 Gathering Locations along the route with HUGE 20x40 ft Canada Flags brought out about 3350 people to watch the show along with all the people who watched from their roofs and gardens!
The Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce Tourism committee chaired by Amy Sykes formed a subcommittee of passionate supporters co-chaired by Cheryl Cardon, circus communications and Town Councilor Ann Lawlor to bring the Most Patriotic Town Challenge to life and the community rallied like never before to put Halton Hills on the map and bring the community together to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday in 2017. By flying and registering 57,074 Canadian Flags by July 1st, 2017 Halton Hills Claimed the title of Most Patriotic Town in Canada smashing the previous record set by Thorold, Ontario of 10,000 flags flown.
