Eileen Weldon - My husband and I moved to Georgetown in 1967 after the birth of our son Geoff. Jayne arrived two years later and I know she went to school with Robyn Lane. I worked at George Kennedy P.S. for 28 years, taking early retirement for health reasons. When Regional Government , came to Ontario we were forced to mix Georgetown, Acton, and part of Esquesing Township into a 'new' town. The Georgetown Herald asked for submissions for a name and three were chosen and put to the people in the next election. My suggestion was picked "Halton Hills" and even I, still say I came from Georgetown. Mayor Russ Miller honoured me at a reception at the new City Hall after it was built. We do enjoy this website.
