- Member of the Rotary Club for 30 yrs... President twice. Sponsor of the C division in the Bantam Tournament, Donated 250,000 dollars to the Georgetown Hospital in his lifetime. When CAASH was started, dad donated his time and money to get it up and going and helped build the office. Sponsored minor hockey and baseball. Member of the BIA...Parking Authority for Halton Hills, and last but not least, a business man downtown who loved what he did.
-A fine Gtown gentleman, hired my husband during big layoff with the car industry. Drove deliveries with Bob's son Wayne....we can say they had some good times 😉. RIP Bob
-Bob was a great person and fun guy. Used to work at the store and make deliveries with Wayne also. Could never beat him & Mrs G at euchre when hanging out at their house.

- Wonderful friend, ready to help everyone, great store on Main Street and such friendly service, and got to know him through the Georgetown Rotarians - he and his wife were good friends of Amy and Ernie Pearce <3
- My mom bought a lot of furniture from him. Nice man.

-My husband delivered a few pieces of furniture for Bob.
-When I look at great man like Bob Gougeon and several others that have been featured here I ask myself WHY are there men like them running our country (no I am not forgetting or overlooking the wonderful women) just most of the ladies from my era growing up were not interested or were not encouraged to be involved with politics and that was a shame some pretty sharp woman out there. Bob Gougeon was a heck of a guy and awesome businessman, RIP Bob
