-In public school with his son, Bob.
- A good man
-Picture early 1950s?
- A very dedicated man :)
- He was a great Chief...I remember when he took control of the riots on Main Street....
- riots on main street???
- yes I think I was only about 10 and two groups of people were ready to riot...the girls had razor blades sewn in their clothing...I remember sitting on the grass by the Bell building when Chief Hayley stood on a box in front of where the old police station was and told them all to disperse.....
- As I recall after he retired he worked for awhile as a custodian at Centennial school!
- Great guy and neighbour
- We had a tragedy in the early 60s and although he had to come to the house with the RCMP and FBI, he was very supportive and helpful to our family. My mother never forgot his kindness (above and beyond).
- A very nice man. Mum would have tea with his wife when we lived on Ewing St.
