- Mrs Pries, a Memorial Arena memory. I thought of her often even years later when my daughter manned the booth. Nice lady & raised a great family!
-She was my neighbour when we lived on Dayfoot. Absolutely wonderful Lady.

-Awe such a beautiful lady loved her as a boss and a friend so many memories at the cottage and her daughter is my bestie ❤️🤗

- I used to be jealous of my friends circulating with all the hockey players while I was stuck behind the counter. Found out my friends were envious of me b/c those same players came to me at the counter❗Mom was a great boss, mother & roll model. Miss her.
-I remember Mrs. Pries and Mr Pries.
- When I was a little girl I think I thought she owned the arena, always there and creating a warm environment to all of us.
-I did not know Mrs. Pries personally, but as a youngster at the arena, I remember thinking how nice a lady she was.
-What a wonderful woman she was, many great memories of her from both the pool but mostly the Arena, as a Ring Rat we were there early in the morning when Sykes Bakery arrived with the fresh donuts she would call us to come to the booth and would give us a fresh (still warm) donuts and hot chocolate saying you need to keep your strength up you have a long day, God Bless you and keep you as you RIP <3

-so many memories ❤ wonderfull lady ❤
-One beautiful lady. My first boss I may be bias my Grandmother good teacher hard worker. I could go on Friday night Raider games she would give mugs of coffee to some patrons and if kids found one return it and get a bubble gum lol love you lots💕
-Amazing lady. Best hot chocolate. Great family.
- Had many hot chocolets from Her .
-Such a nice lady and great ambassador for our arena and town 💕
-Remember her mostly from the arena when i was a kid so i am talking probably 63 years ago. Awesome lady.
-Such a sweet lady got a lot of candy bars from her when I was a rink rat
-Another little story of how awesome and wise she was, as Rink rats working late after the booth had closed we could get in thru the false ceiling. We would go in and it seemed there was always about 6 hot dogs in the steamer and we would (we thought we were sneaking them) and have a pop. We later found out that Mrs Pries know exactly wht we did. She had left the Hot Dogs for us and had already counted them and the pop in shortage. What a wise and wonderful lady :)
-She always looked after me when I was delivering bread at the arena
-A great lady.
-LOVELY LADY
-Mrs. Pries was a staple at the arena whether at the concession booth at the pool or at the arena. Always smiling. Great lady.
-She was a lovely lady. I got many an ice cream cone at the pool concession and switched it up to hot chocolate at the arena. Probably the best know lady in the 50's and 60's in Georgetown
-Clearly god spent a little more time on her..a wonderful role model for us all
- She was a really nice lady... remember her from both the arena and pool.
-Always a friendly smile to greet you.
- Lovely lady. Fond memories at the pool concession .Buying string liquorice and braiding it together ,then eating it,.
-Mom Pries. What can I say about her? She was my second Mom and I adored her! Never a mean word or anger was spoken. So hard working and respected. Always a smile and kind words. So happy I got to have her in my life for so many years.
-Always smiling, gracious and willing to tackle the training of "many, many, many" girls in their early teens to work at the Arena canteen. I never had the privilege of knowing her outside of the Memorial but she projected all good things from the inside of the "Booth".....many, many fond memories.
-She was a great lady always smiling and freindly
-The Rink Rats Guardian Angel.... I Use To Time Sweeping The Lobby Till Mrs, Pries Was Ready To Lock Up... The Black Rubber Floor Never Looked So Good In Front Of Her Booth.. Oh She Seen Me Alright ..Just Making Sure I Was Close To Finishing, Before My Large Drink & Hot dog Was Presented To Hungary Me... Some Of The Carrying Ons She Must Of Seen,, Thinking Back Now, 12 Hours After Her Saturday Closing , She Would See Me In The Church Choir... ( I Wonder lol } I Glad That Mrs, Pries & The Booters At The Old Arena Defined My Years There,, PS I Hope One Day I See The Above Picture Emposed On A Picture Of The Old Arena.. Along Side The Other Hockey Heritage Winners...
-I can’t count the number of Mrs Pries meals I are at the Alcott arena !!
- Great lady use to mix all pop together for us and called it swap water.Very special lady to all .

-Sweet lady
-Mrs. Pries was also a great (perhaps biased?) supporter of the Georgetown Girls Pipe Band!
-Spending my younger years at the arena or pool, Mrs. Pries, was the kindest and sweetest women you you could ever meet. Nothing but fond memories.
