- , our Dad was Doug Sargent and he was affectionately known as “Dougo”. As far as I remember, when we were younger Paul would sometimes refer to our Dad as Slugo after the comic book character. We (I think it was me)started to call Paul, Slugo and the nickname stuck. We also had several other nicknames for Paul but we can’t repeat them in mixed company. Cheers.
