- More from the old hood
- Loved going into Richardson’s Hardware. Bought lots of skates and hockey sticks at the store.
- I babysat Doug
-Shopped there lots. Nice folks.
-Well remembered and great people to deal with.
- What an awesome picture, I loved the Crest Hardware owned and operated by the Richardson brothers, they seemed to have it all. You could buy a single screw or nail or as many as you needed, hockey equipment, car models, replacement cut glass to dinnerware and what awesome service. Another outstanding family of our great community. Doug was a favourite of mine growing up, ended up working with him when he coached the Raiders. Watch Jeff grow from a baby :)

-The ole smoker
- My Dad's collection of yard sticks. Richardsons Hardware at the bottom.
-Walt was our next door neighbor on Durham st , very nice people. I also knew Jeff and his brother, they lived on Dayfoot behind the Outdoor pool .
-Crest Hardware, awesome store.. my dad had a second job working for Walt and Ken.. he repaired appliances, service calls, whatever needed fixing. I have vivid memories of Walt and Helen spending time at our house and at Christmas Walt would send Dad home with so many toys for the tree, we thought we had first line connections with Santa himself. Loved Walt, he was a wonderful, kind, caring man.
- Remember getting my first new pair of hockey skates from Crest Hardware in 1957 ... 2nd floor.
