-School Trips to the plow match.
-Our class walked there from centennial public school on delrex
-I remember walking there from Centennial School for school trip as well.
-I also remember walking from Centennial, lots of fun back in the day!
-Is that 10th side road on top?
Was this 9th line (Mountainview) and 10th side road?
-Not sure of the angle of the photo chris but it was between 8th and 9th lines and south of 10 side road.. above hungry Hollow
-This was held on the Craig Reid farm.
-My first summer job was painting all the fence posts and haying for the Reid farm. Probably summer '74 or so, $1.50 an hour and they haven't been repainted since then....I must have done a great job!!...lol..saved my money and bought my first 10 speed bike with that job!
-Took my first helicopter ride there.
-$5 if I recall, for a ride in a Bell 47. My first flight ever. Was hooked after that...
-hahaha me too, first and only time in the air still to this day.
-Our church had a food tent. We took pots and pots of soup back and forth.

-Ed Brown, Mr. Dog N Suds, flew me over the site for photos for the Gerogetown Herald, back in the day! He owned his own plane.

-almost in your back yard, didn’t you work for Reid at one time?
-My Dad sold farm equipment for a living. That week he was home all week, working the Plowing Match. It was very unusual to have him home. I think we went almost every day.
-I was there too! Good times!
-Went there with Stewarttown Senior Public School and again by bicycle from our home in the 10th line..

-I remember that it was a big deal back then
-Went on my first helicopter ride there
-We won best farm that year. Our family had a free helicopter ride. That was the year I discovered I get motion sickness! lol...have used gravol ever since!
-I paid had to pay 5 bucks for the helicopter ride there, it was worth it, lots of great memories and learned that I have a great fear of heights, it was my first and last helicopter ride.
