-My aunt, Mary McMurdo, was born in the small red house that used to be on this site.
-Your Aunt Mary and my mom Louise Oliver Mossop were the best of friends for so many years. Mary was a bridesmaid in my parents wedding. She was just the sweetest lady ever.
-Yes I remember often hearing about your mother. I agree, she was a wonderful person.
-The house was also the temporary police station too, in the 70's.
-It wasn't that house, it was a smaller one next door to it.
-Stucco front cottage style with flagstone steps
-Just a short walk back to the Herald office on Monday nights after they released the weeks activities.
-This is the house I was referring to, photo courtesy of Larry Hesse.
I --may wrong but I think the Lenz family lived there ??
-Could be, I'm not sure. My grandparents lived there back in the 30s.
-This location was where Dr. Paul's office was.
-The Lenz's lived above the old show. Not sure about this location, Ed.
-I thought Dr. Paul was next door in the house that is still there.
-I'm pretty sure it was this building , & it was a temporary police station later. Won't swear to it though.
-There were a lot of people fell down the stairs in that old house when the P.D. was there ....... if I could only break my code of silence and privacy......I am sure the walls could talk as could some of the folks that took a "trip"
-This was the site of the police station back in the late 70's and before this location it was in the alley way beside golden fish and chips ....
