-Today most people just sleep in Georgetown, a bedroom community. However, people used to work here and long commutes to jobs weren't necessary, the environment was better for it. Economic progress came along and killed it.
-My grandfather worked there for many years. My brother and I would walk to his office after school on Fridays and walk home to Glen Williams with him.

-Yes we all work in that area, I worked on the inbossor with Bob Toast Roy Wiggins Whitey , we had a hell of a great time there.

-My mom worked there .I use to walk from the Papermill Dam with my Granny to clean the offices there.Also had a kitten or two from there.
-My Grandad Martin Cummins used to work after WW1. He would then garden at night and after take the kids from Collegeview down to the river to swim. He taught most of the kids from Collegeview how to swim.
-My father James Paynter worked at Abitibi for 38 years. It provided work for a lot of the town people.
-My Grandfather worked at Abitibi for most of his working career. When he retired he then worked as the caretaker and crossing guard at Chapel Street Public School. So I would get to see him the school and then at the end of the day he always got me home safely. For those of you who might have known him he was Arthur Herbert.

-My Uncle Don Forster worked in the boiler room, under the what's left of the chimney. You could see the big boilers through those tall windows and the door was always open, unless the wind was blowing in snow.
-Me too dry end of coater and cleaning out the wet end on week ends yuck!!

-Forgot about the "gang ". I forget the foreman's name but he always said " follow me son ". ..Mike?
