-We took the dogs there a couple weeks back, looks the same as it did in the 80s, minus the giant construction site in the parking lot of course.

-Spent a lot of time at the Field's house on the right. I think Mrs.Field was the caretaker of the building.
-Bottom right part of the building were change rooms for soccer teams playing on field through 1970s.
-Took karate there, and went to air cadets, pretty sure we signed up for soccer there too
-worked there with a friend one summer teaching dance and drama camp
-this use to be a home for troubled girls too. I use to chum with a girl named Nancy there i wanted my parents to adopt her. Lot of memories.
-I used to have a couple of friends there and would visit and stay for dinners sometimes. I liked the girls there . My friend was Maddy
-Yes i stayed for dinner too but was horrified one day there was glass in the jello no joking
-My son was on a soccer team that played there
-My daughter went to nursery school there,32 or 3 years ago with Mrs. Hardcastle.

Hung out there in the summer cray fishing and went tobogganing all the time!
-Used to be the Drop Inn for all the young hippy freaks! Some very good times were had by all!

-I grew up in the house on them right. My mom Evelyn Field was the care taker. So many good memories and it's so nice the house is still there.
-I would love to see a picture of the park. It was my very favourite place to go! All the weeping willow trees and the stream 😍

-From the demolition before the reconstruction I bought and used, in the construction of our family room, undressed 2 by 4s (framing) and a huge beam( for floor beams and fireplace mantel) The room is "Heritage" LOL
-My Mom taught pre-school there with me.

-The wall to the left was an inside wall. The old boiler room, where the Drop In was, was removed, with all it's asbestos, a number of years ago.

-We used to go there for GLPL baseball sign up. You had to get there by at least 7am or you would be on the waiting list. Line up was huge.

-I did some plumbing work in that building back in the early 1960s.
-I remember when it was a girls school connected to the United Church. The girls marched to church. Some of the girls attended the local high school while I was there in the 50s.
-My cousins, the Fields, lived in the house beside it. I remember visiting them for the first time. Used to playing on old city streets, I looked out on the field and couldn't believe this was their front yard.
-He made sure we all behaved
-that 'll be a hand - full!!!
-I coached Danny Fields in Soccer and he was a very good athlete.
-A good athlete for sure but never knew he played soccer.
-Yes Jason Fields was a town police officer i believe.
-There were a few parties held in the gym. Took judo classes there.
-So did I ☺
-Air Cadets weekly meetings if i remember right
-Monday nights😉
-upstairs.......back in the early '70s anyway i know as I was there!!

-Oh look we still have an existing old building in Georgetown. Guessing the heritage Foundation hasn't found it yet.. lmao.
