-I used to deliver the Toronto Telegraph before the Sun,and I'd pick up my bundles of papers at the DQ,then head down P C D

-so there was a Texico station next door. What year would this have been as I have only been in town since 1981
-Likely the 70’s sometime, I worked there from about 1971 thru 1973. I think the new store was built sometime in the late 70’s/early 80’s?
-Once they had the sign read, "Our beef comes exclusively from dead cows". I was up for a couple of days before removing it. I thought it was funny although others did not.
- also worked there when Mr. Lloyd owned it. He was a tough boss.

-used to be treated to DQ on report card day when we were young. Now receive gift cards for Easter each year, my parents like to shop local - thank heavens! Yummy!

-Used to go there as a kid after a soccer game for slushies. At least I think that was what they were called.

-I played on the Dairy Queen girls softball team. Every time we won we got a free ice cream cone. Yummy. Later in life it was the hot fudge sundaes that drew me there. Great place to meet people too.

-And I also worked there for a very short time until I got fired for not being able to finesse the little swirl on the top of a cone. But I recovered.
-My mom would give me a nickel, when I was 5!!! and send me up Rexway to get a cone, by myself..so hard to imagine anymore. It was a childhood without fear, and I am so grateful to have been a child at that time.
