-Mason Motors and a Beckers
-I remember when it was a Beckers
-I worked there when it was Beckers.
-Hey.....who took the stairs to Becker's away!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Who took the ramp away....how will Pete get the cars into the showroom now.
-was it Pete Masson?
-I believe at 1 time there was a small butcher shop in the back of the building.
-I believe there was a restaurant there back in around 1955.
-This was built in 1953 by Tut Harrison. The paper said, Tut Harrison builds new garage on outskirts of town.
-Normandy was pretty much the end of the world for G'towners then,
-Last street in town.
-Wasn't Edward St. a lane from the Tyers family home on what is now Delrex
-I always thought Normandy Blvd. was the last street at the east edge of town.
-When it was Becker's many years ago our family lived under it.
-Yes I remember when your family lived there.
-i remember Beckers being there
-My Mom ran the Becker’s store for a while...probably from 1978-1983??
-Wasn't this a restaurant at one time? - I recall stopping in on our way from kindergarten and grade one at Wrigglesworth and asking for a glass of water - every day - until they finally said "no" '56 - '57?
-It used to be a car dealership. Pontiac I think. The ramps to bring the cars into the showroom were on either side of the stairs going into the shop.
-Pete Mason Motors.
-I still remember part of the steel hinges for the ramp set in concrete on the end of the steps as you would enter into Becker's.
-Mike Armstrong sold cars there for Pete Mason.Didn't realize Tut built it..
-also Pete Delio.
-Didn' t really know Pete.Your memory is amazing mine is pretty good too, there are things I would like to forget but never do. Lol

-I ran that Beckers for several years until '89. Never had any issues. Less than a month after i left the new manager had a break in and a robbery! So many wonderful memories from my stint there. Except the basement! Scariest place on earth! LOL
-The basement was the apartment
-At one time yes, but not when I had the store. It was dark and scary and very wet and mouldy but the company wouldn't do anything about it
-We live there in the 60's but not for long because every time it rained the place flooded
-Yep! There was no electricity down there because of all the water. The basement breakers were all shorted out.
-once upon a time it was MASON MOTORS a car dealership
-Pumped gas for Tut Harrison there many years ago
-Don't remember the pumps Bud.
- ... I remember it being a SHELL gas station.
, just remember my Dad having an old Herald, that said "Tut Harrison builds new garage on outskirts of town" that was 1953.
-At one point in time wasn't this place also a Beckers store?
-All the car dealerships sold gas then too. They didn't charge to fill the tank then like they do now!
-I remember when that was Beckers
-Me too...5 cent popsicles!
-Chocolate popsicles!
