-It was there from around 1969 to 1975. I know I have posted this before, but for those who may be interested and didn't know, the Brownes re-located to Georgetown from Calgary to open this Dog 'n Suds location, which their first one (and maybe only?) in eastern Canada. This chain is still in existence, in the mid-western U.S., mostly around Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois.

-When first read post thought it was a dog grooming place with fancy uniforms! LOL We were not in town in the 60s or 70s. This site is great :)

-I was born in 71 so I have no recollection of Dog & Suds, I do remember when MacDonalds first opened tho, eating lunch outside in the hot, hot sun, sitting on the plastic curved benches, in a dress. Ouch!

-Our bunch of snowmobile people used to stop in there after we had a good time snowmobiling for coffee and hot chocolate. Back then we could ride anywhere. Good times.

-we moved to Brampton in 69 and I know I had a few dogs and root beers there before that.

-Julie Browne was our friend. Does anyone know where she is now? Her dad started D&S. I remember thinking she was the luckiest person in the world....hot dogs on demand:)
-I think it was Judy Browne, Tina. If you recall they were our neighbours on Henry Street. Last I heard, Judy lives in Campbellville.

-I moved to Georgetown in 71 and I remember going to dog and suds with A and w. Across the road. My dad ordered hamburgers. And refused to ask for mamma or papa burgers. And he’s still like that.
-It was so clean, you could eat off the floor.I remember when Neil Patullo, the health inspector would come & he would always say, boy, i wish every bathroom i see was like yours, so clean.

-Yummy. Mushrooms burgers, the best. I worked there from 72 to 74. I met my hubby there and. Still remember his order. Senior hiboy with cheese, fries and a strawberry milkshake. Mr and Mrs Browne and Jesse the cook were great.
-Also, jocks went to the DQ, the greasers went to A&W and the car buffs came to Dog ‘n Suds.
