-So many memories here - for years it was my route back and forth to school.
-Spent most of my life here.. Watching Games, Playing, Bang-o-rama, the fair.. etc.. so many memories
-school, living close enough it was your childhood playground, kinsmen ball, GBA, ...and ooohhh so many memories when an adult......the rink and the park---the places to be!!
-I learned how to drive there. Before I was out on the real road learning, a few laps around the race track was my Dads starter course.
-I remember the fall fairs & the fireworks...
-Memories are endless. Walks with my grandpa. Watching my Dad play horseshoes. Attending events at the Armories. Fairs, Shows, Concerts and baseball. I played there, Ed played there, both of our boys played there, and on the down low who can forget the socials from the back of the trunks with a nice cold beverage after the games. Those were the best of times with great friends. Awww a photo takes me back!
-Home Sweet Home
-So many great memories. Thanks Bonnie for bringing back all these wonderful memories. It feels so good 😊
-tractor pulls
-The fair so I could see all the animals!!
-my memories was walking down from Harrison school for field and track with the other schools in the late 50s and early 60s and YES we walked there..lol...and the fall fairs
-It was my second backyard for most of my childhood. Making forts in the woods, walking to the creek at the west end and picking watercress with my Dad, playing baseball, walking to school and coming home for lunch every day thru the park, Fall Fair exhibitions with my Mom, school field days, watching Lorne Scotts practices, and fire cracker displays that were awesome!
-Oh yes the Fall Fair. We got maybe $2.00and we went on rides and played games and ate, and were there all afternoon. Lorne Scott I think had horses.
-The same trees ...... Same track. Awwwww.....
-Dirt track Stock Car racing and the "Hell Drivers" early 50's.
-some of my most wonderful metal detecting finds have come from there! A real testament to the history of the place and how loved it was and still is.
-Remember the row of huge ancient oaks in this view?
-THE carin behind the middle diamond of one of the GREATEST HOCKEY AND BASE BALL players that came from MILTON and played for Georgetown
-I remember the fall fair...good times...😊😊💕
