-I remember Dick Riddall. His sister, Ethel Arthurs, was our next-door neighbour on George Street. I didn't know he had owned a garage at one time.

-Bruce, probably many different Owner's but are you referring the Bill Jacoletti and his parents? Since I moved from town a long time ago I wonder when they put the light there. It never had a light at that area as long I was lived in town.

- Jan Jackson (Walter) and Bill Campbell managed it with another helper who cooked. I can’t remember her name but her husbands name Red. They had a small farm with horses in Ballinafad. It was called The Mountaindew at that time.
There also use to be a pool place beside it that was ran by Bob Girdwood Clint Girdwood dad. There also use to be a car club across the road between 8 Main Street and the Vets (now)
-This was The George and Dragon as well . My aunt Eleanor Traynor lived across from it and as there were no lights to cross...one of the young waitresses would walk her across ...She was in her late eighties.They also called her on extremely hot summer days and asked if she would like to come over and enjoy the air conditioning.Kindness never forgotten. M.k.m.
