- So much fun when you're a kid.
- Days off school were always fun.
- What did they do, so that this doesn't happen anymore??
- I believe it has something to do with the paper mill dam.
- I seem to remember years ago the river bed being dredged out from the north side of the bridge down toward the Papermill Dam but not sure how far they went. I would imagine that would be filled in now by Mother Nature. I know it's not very deep along there. The river doesnt flow like it used to now.
- Brings back a lot of memories
- I think they changed the course of the river in those days but like Chris said it’s all grown in again
- How well I remember them.
- This happened numerous times before the town lowered the dam for spring run off.
- I remember this so well was my kids entertainment were not allowed to cross the bridge so no school
