-I was in grade 5 at Harrison when the extension was built. Room 9. Mrs modern.
-1971 -1973
-1969-1974
-1962-1968 (I think) I repeated Grade 5.It went to Grade 6 back then and Grade 7 & 8 was at Centennial.
-we sure played a lot of that game with the elastics tied together on that black top lol
-Great memories! I remember running, skipping, hopping to school-never walked on the sidewalk, it was too boring! Now, that is the best I can do, is walk. When the rink went in, I put my skates on at home and skated down the sidewalk-nobody salted or sanded anything!
-Same here lol
-1964-1970
-My self and brothers and sister went there. All of our kids went there also. Lived real close.I remember running home for recess a few times.lol
-On the first day Harrison opened, we (Mrs. Nellie Gardiner's grade one class) walked from Wrigglesworth (where we had been doing "shifts", because it was so over-crowded) to our brand new, fresh smelling school !!
-Went to that school.
-1962 -68 my K was Miss Rudy (?)
-All 5 of us Tassone kids went from K to 5, loved Mrs Nelson
-1966-1971
-Miss Rudy was my kindergarden teacher, then Mrs Brooks? Miss Norton/Mrs. Harrison (she got married during grade 3). Miss Fox, Mr. Shantz, Mr. Gushulak.
-I had scary Mrs Ruddel for 1, then we were back together for either 2 or 3 but I can’t remember which one, I had Carol Lane in the portable for one of them, Mrs Pedwell for 4 , back with you for 5 then Mr Homer for 6, but the principal Mr McDonald would also come in and teach. We moved with Plax to Burlington mid way through.
-Sounds like the same group I had at that School. I think the principle of the day was Mr Knapper? Not sure if that is spelled right but he had a reputation for being nasty
-I had Mr McDonald but I’m not sure
-I cannot remember the name of the principal, I surprised myself remembering all my teachers! I think it was Mr. McDonald.
-I think you guys are right, Knapper may have been before him or he may have been the vice principle. I think in those days it was the vice that was in charge of discipline for all the bad eggs lol
-Went to that school too and so did my sons. Miss Armstrong kindergarden, miss brooks, Mr. Shantz , Mr Gushulak, Miss Hopkins . I only had to walk past 2 houses to get to school, lived at 79 Rexway.

-Isn't it funny that I had Miss Rudy for kindgergarden and you had Miss Armstrong-I guess Miss Rudy had enough after she had me!
-I went there. Had Logan MacDonald as a teacher and principal. Now I'm living in his old house.
-Went there from 1965 to 1970 had Mrs Armstrong as my kindergarten teacher.

-Your brother and I were in the same class
-Mrs Preston was the kindergarten. Teacher she is a member of knox church and I was amazed that she remembered me and both my brothers
-(Bodnar) Kindergarten to Grade 6 from 1960. Lived across the street from the school, Mrs Dunlop, Miss Norton, Mr. Schantz, Ms. James, Dave Shrubsole. Dave Shrubsole was a "new" breed of teacher, who brought experiential learning to the classroom...what a fun year!
-I remember that. We circled our desks
-We built a teepee outside, we did folk-dancing, and we went on a long hike somewhere in town...we all had to learn to play the recorder. This was all very revolutionary at the time!
-And Mr Schantz used to make me bend over at the front of the class, and he would whack me across the ass with the yard stick, or make me do push-ups in the aisle. Kinda kinky!
-I saw Dave a few years ago. He knew me instantly. He was a great teacher. Vera McDonald and Dave Shrubsole. Were my 2 favourite teachers. And I didn’t like school haha 😁👍
-Was that the same Ms. James who taught at GDHS? It wasn't very common to use "Ms." back then.
-1956 and moved to Wrigglesworth
-What year was that Linda. Both Rod and Christine went there. School board started them at Howard wrigglesworth where I went and I protested. We were 1 block away from Harrison. They changed and let them go to Harrison. A few kids on Carole also went to Harrison. I was lunch lady there.

-I grew up right across the street at #56 and went to Harrison from K to 5. Mr. Shrubsole was my favourite. My mom sold the house about 5 years ago, so in a way Harrison was in my life for 46 years!
-My brothers and I all went there. Always walked home for lunch.
-Lived on Hale Drive and spent a lotta summer break hangin out on the basketball court...
-I went there for grade 2. Mrs Vincent was the teacher I think
-Went to Harrison from 1961-1968. Made some great friends. Mr. Homer in Grade 6 was great teacher.
