-Hey...that's my old house....was white when we bought it, we painted it butter yellow and new owners painted it again. Loved that house!
-Was my grandparents house l also loved it. Was happy when Larry and you bought it and Cheered it up again.

-It had a charming fence around it too, in the 60's, but fences are a lot of work!
-My uncle Bill Anderson lived there for years and years.
-Homes had porches instead of air-conditioning. The side porch was always filled with cutting and plants for the garden.

-Lived at 3 Victoria when I was a kid.
-My sister has lived around the corner from here for about 60 yrs.
-Lived on Ontario St growing up. Just around the corner
-I also grew up on Ontario. #16

-My Dad was born at home on John Street, just down the hill, in 1933.
-The Gingerbread on the porch shows.
-I was going to mention the gingerbread on the porch, which has now been removed. I spent an entire summer stripping the many layers of paint off that gingerbread! What a fabulous picture.
-People didn't pick their homes at the builders' showroom in those days.
-Nan and Pop's house,,,
-I remember the garden too!
-Always seemed to have a good one,,,
-Gordon Spence lived on Victoria closer to S and S—-Cy Spence lived around the Corner on College View —-We lived over the tracks on John on the Cut Hill beside Costigans don’t know if we had a number just knew it was the Spence house —-that was when everyone really knew your neighbours and people lived in one house for years —-the old days lol
-Mel & Doris Spence were my Godparents. Used to go visit them on Victoria St when they were in G’Town visiting from Collingwood.
-Mel still lives in Collingwood —he was down here at Muriel’s for lunch last Mon.—-Jake brought him as he doesn’t drive anymore he will turn 90 in Feb.
-Cy Spence Was the bootlegger ... i believe in the '60s.....Shhhhh!
-I think so.... the '60s were a long time ago... i do remember traveling in the old '57 blue and white ford...Grampa Walt's to see this nice man on Sunday afternoons...

-Clarence Carey was the boot legger on Academy .
-WOW ..... I have heard stories from my Aunt about travelling to the Glen for a bottle on a Saturday night ......the gentleman kept the liquor cold in his well!
-We lived at 25, 29, 31 and 20, from age 2 until 16, so that corner is etched into permanent memory. My Dad and his father lived there too, adding some history too.
-I think I put a comment on here when we talked before because we rented from your Grandfather an apartment in the corner house in 1945 when my Dad came home—-Harry Shortill and family lived there also —-first place we had after the war—was only 4 so don’t have a lot of memories only that we shared a bathroom and I think we were upstairs
-Thanks, I was adopted in 1954 ,that's when I appeared. I was two, so I don't have memories from early either. Because lots of people rented there, to be near work, there were many faces over the years.
-I also remember when you could not see the houses when Georgetown got natural gas. They dug big trenches along that side of the street and heaped up the dirt along the street. Nobody had to go to the sandpit for those weeks in summer.
