-When I was in high school Kay' s was an institution.Between Kay's and Ab's we got a well rounded education.
-That was where I got my education.
-Great memories I used to get in to the pool hall early Ab thought I was my brother Jack
-Oh ya! Pinball and Euchre was much more appealing than class!
-Great memories of Kay and George when i was a kid...these people were so kind... always treated the neighbourhood kids well..
-Janice Baker and I would skip school and go to Kay's to buy popsicles on a hot day!

-Nothing beats getting a 2 inch fresh Cut steak & bag of penny Candy.
-Penny candy on the way to the outdoor pool great memories ❤

-Yep euchre and pinball, love that jukebox! Ketchup chips and cigarettes ... Kay was so nice she liked having "the young people" around. ☺
-Ketchup chips weren't invented when I went there. How about Kickapoo joy juice. I think it was like Mountaindew

-I remember as a kid asking him if he was going to give out 10 cent chocolate bars instead of the 5 cent ones on Halloween. He said what do you think I am a Fking Millionaire! I lived up the street next to the High School @ 74 Guelph Street from 1965-69. I loved his Penny Candy table. Lots of candy was 4 for a penny. For a quarter yould could fill a small paper bag that he gave you to put the candy in. I also remember when he picked up his brand new Red 1965 Pontiac Parisenne Convertible. It was a BEAUTY!

-My Mom shopped there from Normandy George would deliver we did t have a car

-Our first apartment was over the "new" section, in 1969! Kay and George were wonderful. . You entered the apartment by an outside staircase. I fell all the way down those stairs when the were icy in March. Ouch!
-they sold the best pepperoni sticks 10cents ea.

-Georges last name was Brantford and his wife Kay was from Bludd family. My friend Kevin Brantford lived upstairs in the 1960's. His Dad was I believe a brother of George and he was a professional painter.
-Who remembers The Butcher Shop George had in the back and who remembers the knife in his guts?
-Me I was a butcher and myself and Carl Currie helped out Kay.
-Who can guess how many packs of buts Kay smoked per day?
-I thought the name was spelled Brandford, but I could be wrong.
-George Branford I believe Bruce . We lived down the road on Durham st for many years .
-I also remember he had a pet raccoon that one day when I was kid it tore open a loaf of bread and George was madder than heck with the coon!
-Bought many penny candy's there going to Wrigglesworth School.

-and on the way home from the swimming pool, we all dropped in at Kay's- and George served us.
-My old stomping ground played cards hung out with Reese Michelle Trish juke box downstairs pumping out tunes getting penny candy from George ohhh the 70's

-We even had a float in the Santa Claus parade one year, with the jukebox! Kay always called us her kids so that's what we had on the banner "Kay's Kids" 😍
-Kay owned a lot of rental properties in Georgetown!
-Went there at Lunch time many many times! They were related to the Hillocks, I believe??
