- another great one. Love these pics.
-Sad it’s gone
-Had so much fun there! Great memories.
-I remember lining up there on many summer days, waiting for the pool to open!
-Sorry to see that area wiped out to put up condos.
-Spent every day or evening at the pool in the summer and lived at the arena all winter. Some of the best childhood memories were at these two locations. Ate tons of Mrs. Pries hotdogs...she was the sweetest woman.
-Wonder if there are any pictures of the old structure there when I was a kid. You entered from the side, got your basket and pin, then the girls change room was on the right. I remember trying to bypass that cold shower you had to walk under to get into the pool area 😀
-My era too!
-Spent so many days there. :)
-Lessons in the morning, swimming afternoon/evening. Loved it & Mom always knew where I was
-My sister had her wedding reception here back in the early 80’s. I’ll have to get a look at her pictures when I see her.
-Oh what great memories I have from there thankyou so much for sharing
-Great memories were made there.
-So many memories.
-Was the best blade to go swimming considering I lived not even 5 min walk from it sad it's not there anymore
-Had my wedding reception there may years ago and attend may great parties there. A lot of great memories!
-My sisters and I lived at the pool for many summers. As said before. Swimming lessons in the morning and rec swimming in the afternoon. Many happy memories!
-I went to a hardcore show in this place when I was 15! Super intimate setting
-Swim team worked hard first thing in the morning to get that water warmed up! Then lessons and then in my teens turned the tables and was an instructor/lifeguard. Some of the best times and people I've known 😊
Cried when they filled it in...
-The pipe band practised in the Lions hall for many years.
Also, my youth was spent at the pool.
-The Lions Hall was the venue for many, many parties Ernie and I attended - Wedding Anniversaries, hockey team dances, Going away celebrations for people moving from town, including our own. Always a great and central location for all activities......my boys grew up swimming at the Lion's Pool...…..good memories <3
-I used to always go swimming there in the summer
-Just down the hill
-Sad it’s gone
