-It was the Masonic Temple too, until they moved to the edge of town.

-Wasn't that the name of the Restaurant that was there for a little bit.. with Bruno?

-It was originally the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Georgetown. What is now St. John's United was the Episcopal Methodist Church. At some point the Methodist Churches merged so they no longer needed this building as they went together into St. John's. And in 1926 The United Church was formed when Methodists, Congregational (the library was a Congregational Church), and some Presbyterians joined together.
