-Our mom, Bernice Henderson, worked at RBC there for many years. You must have known her. She is so missed. 💕
worked with Bernice many years. We had a great time!
-Remember Bernice very well. Great co-worker !!!!!!!
-Yes, she was also a great mom, and it’s been more than 7 years since her passing, and we all still miss her so much.
-I started banking there when I was 14, just the other day wasn't it?
-The old bank was used to be knitting store inside, other store I forget. The old Bank was beside Young's Drug Store. I used to go downtown all the time.
-Just recently we dinned at the Cellar in the basement of the bank
-Food was awesome
-I opened my first bank account there - 1968, if I remember correctly.
-Didn't they have the Smith and Stone payroll account?
-My first job was dishwasher at the Cellar 30 years ago. They gave the staff whatever was the special of the day for a staff meal. Amazing food back then. Lobster, blackened steak, scallops on angel hair pasta to name a few.
-My first job there when it was Royal Bank.
-I love this place......I remember when it was a bank and also remember the bank closing and the conversion to The Cellar.....it was the best place in Town to be taken for a lunch or Supper and no one else in Town at that time ever had a fireplace in their restaurant.....it was quality, atmosphere and intimacy all in one location! <3
-My Mom worked there when it was the Royal Bank..... many many years ago

-My mother worked there many years ago. Then moved with the bank across the street
-I owned the lingerie store that was top floor in the old bank in 84, was called Panache Lingerie
