-The old post office......learned how to tell time on that clock!!!
-We used to sit on the steps waiting for the show to open for the matinee.
-I remember walking up the steps, to the right, to post a letter.
-our dentist was in there when we where kids
-Dr Wolburgh!
-yup...I went to him too! :)
-called him Dr pain
-Kinda weird thing...ran into him in a bar in TO years later. Rather strange to see your dentist hanging out trying to pick up women!!
-I love this building. It would be a great location for a Town museum.
-That’s a fantastic idea. Such beautiful architectural features...
-Agree. Hope they do not take this building down.
-I remember our postal box number.
-So do I remember ours.
-I used to go there and pick up our mail after swimming classes. We lived on Hale Drive. I don't remember complaining. Now people complain if they have to walk half a block to get the mail.
-Would love to see the clock working again!

-I’ve been living in Gtown for 14 years, but I still don’t know where that clock and building is. Where would I find it?
-downtown.. corner of mill and park
-It's Park Street now. It was Water Street when it was the post office. Park Street got extended from Main St. at Burwick Hall, down the hill and around the corner to Mill.
-Funny. I’ve been by it, and never looked up that high to the clock.
-That clock is only right twice a day
-Remember going with my mom to get the mail.
-I used to walk by it every day on the way to GDHS.
-It was also next to the old burnt out theatre. Did they ever clean that old burned shell out and build anything? What's the old Post Office being used for these days?
-Thank you for posting the pictures of Georgetown. I have enjoyed following your adventure.
-Loved seeing these pictures too bad that the clock no longer works always checked that clock to see if it was time to go home
-Lived in one of the upstairs’ apartments in the late 70’s...I think rent was around $250.00 a month lol
-My daughter lived there for a while few years a go x
-Wasn't that building the old post office in the 60's??
-My father worked there (Customs Officer) and it was very echoey with lots of stairs to climb to his office.
I lived there for awhile the building has great potential
-i remember it well
-I remember as a child how I loved to go with my Grandfather down to the post office to pick up the mail. I was always fascinated with that building.
-The building is pretty sad looking now it was made into apartments
