- I remember when I first was told the "five and dime" store wasn't just a name, but an actual store that sold things for 5 and 10cents, like the dollars stores used to be.
- I remember the floor that went weird in one part as the store expanded to different levels inside.

- I remember saving all year to buy Christmas presents. Running home to wrap them and put them under the tree. A real grown up experience for a 6year old!
- Holmes was there in the late 60s as I hung out with there son Steven they moved to Florida
- The door to the left lead up to our apt. 13 Main so shopped there often.

- I remember going there every Saturday after doing grocery shopping with my mom. Great memories
- They were fantastic, when I was on the Dance Committee, think we called it the Social committee, we could go to Steadmans say we were buying decorations for the High School and they would just put it on credit for the Student Council. How many stores would do that today?

- I think Holmes and Stedman's were the same store. But for a few years there was a similar discount store next door to Holmes'/Stedman's, although I forget the name of it.
- In the early 1980 it was Mr . n Mrs Hak Kim who had the store l work for them for two years
- Next door to the right looking at Stedmans was a similar store,my mom worked there several years...it was an older couple that owned the store and for the life of me I cannot recall their names....I remember they sold candy by the pound and christmad mom always brought home snow balls,cream filled chocolates and bridge mix...I was so excited
- For Christmas I bought my Mom the most beautiful face cloth I’d ever seen (it had yellow roses on it) at Holmes, when I was around 6-7 years old! She loved it! Or so she said!! 😂

- No rays was the store beside to the right my mom worked there,they were very good to her
