- Loved that place when Tom Johnson ran it. loved to play at the hollywood tavern.Waiters were great.Big Lou& Jack King serving beer, Ivan Reynolds behind the bar.Played in there till Tom sold the bar & I moved to Cambridge..It's a shame what happenned to the bar after Tom left in the mid 1970's.......

- those were great times at the hollywood on the weekend I played in there with a band called Country Soul.Then there was Ross Hillier & the Country Rhymn boys, Jack reeves & the Reeves Boys Willis Jarvis & the Generation Gap, Ron Hachey & Rocking Horse ^ the Country Classics.Anybody remember those bands.If I went there on a Friday or Saturday Tom would let me stand behind the bar & listen til he found someone who I could sit with.In those days it was ladies & escorts on one side & then the mens side on the other side of the wall. Just absolute great times in the 70's at the hollywood house in Norval......Ken Majuery..

- Great place to spend sat.night. going on towards midnight the table began to fill up with drafts BEFORE the call for last orders came. Agree on the pickled eggs ,the fights, as well as the ladies' lounge. (Am writing this whilst on a train from frankfurt to hamburg)

- that was the best weekend breakfast place but the carpets were so grotty and sticky from the night before. used to take the kids there in the late 80's and early 90's.
- My Granddad bartended there years ago. I think somewhere in the forties and almost bought the place but changed his mind at the last minute.

- this place was great but I remember it being made of wood. this looks like stucco or something. the floors were wood inside. I thought it was funny that had a separate entrance for women I think on the side. Perhaps this was taken earlier than I remember in the late 1970s. that place had a fun ambiance...saw Steve Kabakus (Elvis tribute Artist) there when he was first starting out. he's changed his name now and does bigger venues.
