-I remember the Saturday it burned. There was a great soup and sandwich shop in the front right corner in the 70's.
-The Soup Pot! I liked that place.
-I forgot the name - thanks
-The old movie theatre, right?
-The Roxy
-Sad day when it burned down for us kids who got in the Saturday afternoon matinee for .25 cents. Yes I’m old 😜
-Me too.
-I remember when it burned down .
-I sure remember that day.
-I was at my cousin's in Toronto the day it burned. I was so afraid my friends had been hurt I was allowed to call home to check. Long distance calls were few and far between back in the day!!
-I'd forgotten all about the Roxy until the name was mentioned, there's a vacant spot where the building stood now that I recall!
-I remember when it ,burnt down had been at the show that Saturday afternoon remember going there to see Elvis Presley in Love Me Tender whole show was full of girls
-Was there when fire started, scary for a little girl.
-I remember that day too. Got as far as the John St. train tunnel on my way home, when the fire siren sounded and the cloud of black smoke rose up.
