-I see Margo Butler in the front row.
-I think it's Diane Marshall
-yes it is Diane Marshall
-THEY WERE A GREAT TEAM loved to ump.them
-In the early-to mid 1970s there was an older division team similar to this one called the GT Royals.
-Memories!!! Bottom.L-R: Debbie Hamilton, Diane Marshall, Barb Curry, Betty Marchment, Margo Butler, Laura Wilkes, Sandy Kirby.Top.L-R: Ted Wilkes,Joan Wright, Sue Maveal, Janet Mackay, Charlene Milton, Patti Caruso, Leanne Gilson, Ruby Wilkes, Mike Harley.
-Brian James, myself and Bob Draper formed the Stingers, they were a Midget Age Girls team,
-There are two other girls' rep teams from the early 70s: the Royalettes and the GT Royals which was formed the following year.
-I played on the GT Royals team too. I can remember Heather Hamilton, Laura Bodnar, Rocky Sweezie (catcher), Jan Ingals (I think). Ring any bells Beverley Bevrley Roberts? Don't have one photo of that team.
-Both Heather Hamilton and Roxy Sweezie have passed. I don't know where Laura went. Janis Inglis I still see. There was Carolyn Barber Gingrasand Patty Getty Holituk, too. I think perhaps Karen Neil? I have a great photo of Carolyn but, sadly, no others.
-I played for part of a season when Bernie Dore coached - Leanne Gilson played, Ev Metler, Mo Gerth, Bette Marchment, Roxanne Sweezie,
-I believe Bernie Dore coached the Georgettes, not the Royalettes. I played for the Georgettes and have an anniversary yearbook which I will now try to locate.
- So sorry to hear of the passings. Yes, I recall Patty and Carolyn now that you mention them. Yes, my dad coached the team. He's gone too. I think Connie Allen may have pitched for us and I want to say Diane Fournier was on the team at some point as well but I can't remember. I remember a particularly brutal tournament in Creemore though where it was so hot that players were dropping like flies. Back then Creemore was a four corner town in the middle of nowhere. I also vaguely remember playing in Hillsburg and a cow walked on to the outfield. Fun times.
-Connie Allen and Dianne Fournier did play with us.
