-Couldn't hear for three days after going to the stock car races!

-Used to sneak in through the woods witnessed the devastating accident and crash of Mr Chevrolet Dickie Harrell racing Roland Leong the Hawaiian the very last race of the night used to be able to watch and visit with Dick Harrell in the pits he was s very generous man with his fans
-Watched Shirley " Cha Cha " Muldowney set a track record there !She was 🚦 Smokin !!! D.D.💎
-I used to run my bike there those are awesome x!
-I used to run the panhead up there. Low 17s. Haha
-After it closed down. 😁

-Flamborough Speedway is still fully up and running!
-I remember the Acton raceway and rubber road in Georgetown. There are no local race tracks anymore.
-I miss the local races where the townspeople would come out to watch the hot rods going up against each other.
-Help Fred Tolton with clean ups on the track, spills, wreck etc. :)
-I worked there handing out trophy's.
-Kelly Simons sister used to have the place at the end of the track, next line over. We used to park there, walk in and sit at the finish line. A few stubbies consumed down there!!
- remember Ed Maher worked as a starter at the Christmas tree his gal at the time Joanne Dermont worked the entrance booth spent many days and nights there
- Worked at the concession booth for the summer...great fun.
- ...remember falling to sleep beside my bedroom window on Hale Dr.and hearing the cars racing on Saturday night..went for the first time in 69 or 70 with Uncle Chuck in his Mustang...over the years have been too many tracks,seen many racers....will always remember The Golden Horse....
-Went to my first Drag races there and saw the Green Momba jet car in the mid 70's. Now it is an Estate subdivision.
-Oh yeah!
-My father (Glen Whitehead) an original racer from Pinecrest Speedway took me and my brother most every Wednesday and every weekend. Met big names like Don "The Snake" Prudome and Shirley "Cha Cha" Muldowney just to name a couple. Loved the thundering sensation watching the funny cars, dragsters and jet cars My Dad still lives and breathes racing.
