-i remember it as bi-ways
-Love that store and remember when it was on the other side of the street, closer to the intersection of Mill St.
Who remembers when the Post Office moved, there was a postal outlet at the back of Young's when it was next to the bank??
-they had one up untill a few months ago,
-I spent many days working at Sid Silvers Store as a young teenager. (55+ years ago.) Jack and Lillian Watson ran the store.
-Me too. From Grade 9 right thru to university.
-Remember when it was the Bi-way store.
-As a teenager, Silvers is where i bought all my clothes. My friend, Raetta was so small, she could go downstairs & buy kids clothes & pay no tax, lol.
-My mother bought me my Savage velvet Oxford on the 50's at Silver's. The other fabulous men's and ladies store was Cotton Brothers across from the McGibbon. Henry's was the men's store.
-I remember Mrs Pachelok (spelling?) letting me take a blue winter coat home to show my mother and either come back with money or the coat :) My first taste of picking out my own clothes shopping.
