- I remember filming a small part of the Terry Fox movie in the parking lot. My forehead made the van scene. :) Also, I remember the car races in the empty lot on Sundays, before Sunday shopping.

- my dad was the manager there back in the day I also worked in the skillet as a kid on Saturdays doing dishes and making breakfast

- My dad actually was the first manager that opened the store back in 1971 and worked there till 1977 then moved on to a store in Mississauga then to nova Scotia
- I remember my dad meeting uncles for coffee at the restaurant while my mom and aunts shopped

- Frank Vetere's. Used to have a glass from there (you got them to take home sometimes for whatever reason). Best pizza ever!
- That said, that's not entirely correct. If my dusty memory serves, Frank Vetere's was where what is now Pizza Hut. The fair was definitely set up in the parking lot well to the west of there, above the "hill" in the parking lot that is there in front of Zellers/Walmart.
- franks had the best pie ever also playing pac man on the table top having a draft when we were way too young lol and also garlic bread

- Unfortunately people decided to save a couple of cents and shop at Walmart rather than supporting a Canadian company. I worked at the head office in Brampton from 2000-2004.
